Tasa Anual

The Tasa Anual de Extranjería (TAE), also known as Foreigner Tax, is a fee that all foreigners residing in Peru had to pay each year until 2016. With the introduction of a new immigration law in 2017 this tax is suspended, at least for now.

Before 2017 foreign residents had to pay yearly:

US$ 20, if they paid the fee from January to March

US$ 40, if they paid the fee from April to June

US$ 60, if they paid the fee from July to September

US$ 80, if they paid the fee from October to December

US$ 100, if they paid the fee for (the) previous year(s)
