Demus is a Peruvian feminist organization that defends human rights, in particular the sexual and reproductive rights of women, promoting their free exercise and questioning the hegemonic cultural paradigm on women and their sexuality.
They fight against all forms of discrimination and violation of human rights. In this sense, they are promoting a secular state where equal treatment is ensured to anyone without any difference due to religions and / or convictions. This in political practice means constant vigilance so that there is no discrimination against people in the exercise of their rights, especially sexual and reproductive rights, regardless of their sex, ethnic origin, physical capacities, sexual orientation, among others.
