The Ministry of Culture is an institution of the Peruvian Government in charge of promoting and managing the cultural diversity in the country for the benefit of the citizens.

With the goal of strengthening cultural identity and opening spaces for the participation of all cultures, the ministry's main functions are to formulate, execute and establish cultural promotion strategies in an inclusive and accessible way, carry out actions for the conservation and protection of Peru's cultural heritage, promote all forms of artistic expressions, recognize the value of those who contribute to the cultural development of the country and organize activities that allow the development of the Amazonian, Andean and Afro-Peruvian peoples.
