Throughout the year countless cultural festivities, religious ceremonies and processions, food fairs, local music festivals and even military parades are celebrated in Peru. Recently the country as well became increasingly popular with international artists that not only visit to see Peru’s principal attractions but also give concerts for their Peruvian fans. And over the past years Peru additionally developed a vivid motor sports scene with regular (off-road) racing events and turned into a recognized venue for international conferences. Adding to that exhibitions, theater, ballet and cinema presentations and events in bars and restaurants there is actually something on for everyone nearly every day. While most big happenings are in and around Lima, lots of festivals, religious celebrations, and events are in other Peruvian cities and in the provinces.
