Open Museums (Museos Abiertos), an initiative of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture that allows Peruvians and foreign residents to visit more than 50 public museum, archaeological sites and historical places throughout the country free of charge each first Sunday of the month, returns in 2023.
As in previous editions visitors as well can participate in a series of other activities offered by these museums and sites on that day including workshops, exhibitions, shows, etc. for free.
To benefit from the offer, please bring your DNI or Carné de Extranjería.
And if you can’t make it to your favorite museum in Peru, go on virtual tour on the website of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture.
Unfortunately, as of June 2026. The LimaEasy project can no longer be pursued due to the pervasiveness of AI with its continued harvesting of our website to train their models with our copyrighted content and consequently the loss of daily visitors. According to our T&C, we do not allow the use of any published content on our website (articles and comments) through a third party. For a short while the website will remain published as reference without the possibility of posting any comments until its final removal. Thanks to AI a project that grew for the last 20 years has been destroyed…
