Eva Ayllón, one of Peru’s most popular Afro-Peruvian singers and one of the country’s most enduring legends in the creole music genre, gives two concerts at Lima’s Gran Teatro Nacional in celebration of the Day of the Creole Song.

Internationally often named the “Peruvian Tina Turner” or the “Queen of Lando” (a Peruvian bluesy Afro-Peruvian style of music), Eva Ayllón embodies with her legendary voice, her mixture of slow- and fast-tempoed sounds, her sultry dancing and larger than life stage personality the spirit of the country like no other.

As the superstar of the so-called música criolla, Eva Ayllón traditionally gives at least one large concert on the Dia de la Canción Criolla (Day of the Creole Song) in Lima.

This year she will perform at the Gran Teatro Nacional presenting traditional and popular creole songs such as La noche de tu Ausencia, Cuando Llora mi Guitarra, Negra Presuntuosa, Nuestro Secreto, Huellas, Que somos amantes, Flor de la canela, Fina estampa, José Antonio, Mal paso, Enamorada de mi país, and many more that speak to the heart of every Peruvian and reflect the coastal culture of Peru.
