March 19 is Saint Joseph’s Day, the principal feast day of Saint Joseph, who is believed to have been a carpenter or craftsman in wood or even metal. In his memory countries around the globe pay homage to artisans and crafts(wo)men on this day.
Since 2008 Peru celebrates on this day its nearly 73,000 in the National Artisan Register (RNA) inscribed and countless non-registered artisans and crafts(wo)men with the Dia del Artesano Peruano, the Day of the Peruvian Artisan.
