Since 1995 the Lima International Book Fair (FIL LIMA) is the largest and most prestigious publishing and cultural event in Peru. This year’s 24th edition is held from July 19 to August 04 at the Parque de Proceres in Jesus Maria, Lima.

Organized by the Peruvian Chamber of the Publishing Industry (Cámara Peruana del Libro), the Lima International Book Fair brings together national and international authors and publishers, publishing universities, ministries and other companies, booksellers and readers to promote and celebrate books and reading.

Next to seemingly endless book choices in literally every genre, the 17-day fair is packed with an astonishing cultural program, including book presentations and readings, workshops, lectures and conferences, roundtables, concerts, theater performances, film screenings, performing arts presentations and entertainment for kids. The detailed program for the 2019 Lima International Book Fair isn’t published yet, but will hopefully soon be available on the Fil Lima website.
