After many years the Festival de la Lucuma, the festival dedicated entirely to the Peruvian fruit Lucuma, finally returns to Pachacamac, which is located about 45km (28 miles) south of Lima and one of the growing regions of this Peruvian superfood.
Visitors of the Lucuma Festival can enjoy numerous variations of Lucuma ice cream, cremolada and dessert prepared by local chefs and pâtissiers who buy the Lucuma they use in their creations from farmers in the area.
Additionally, participants will be more than happy to share their knowledge about Lucuma with visitors, explain how it’s planted, harvested and prepared.
A must for all Lucuma fans.
