The museum is dedicated to the famous and well-known Peruvian Navy Admiral Miguel Grau who fought in the War of the Pacific. The Casa Miguel Grau displays a collection of photos, clothing, furniture and personal belongings of the "Caballero de los Mares" (the "Gentleman of the Seas").
Additionally there are many old documents of the Peruvian Navy in the exhibition.

Miguel Grau Museum Lima - Huascar
The Huascar, a small armoured turret ship, was under the command of Admiral Miguel Grau during the War of the Pacific. On 8 October 1879, Huáscar was captured by the Chilean Navy at the Battle of Angamos, during which Admiral Grau and 32 men of the crew were killed.
