The Ministry of Transport and Communications is the institution of the Peruvian Government in charge of all matters related to transportation and communications services in Peru.
The key function of the Ministry is to develop, standardize, and implement transportation- and communication-related policies. This includes providing the country with efficient road, rail, air and maritime traffic systems promoting socio-economic development, national, regional and international integration, trade facilitation, poverty reduction and, above all, the well-being of the citizen.
Furthermore the Ministry is in charge of connecting and integrating the country through communications and telecommunications infrastructure.
