The Chilean company Ripley opened its first department store in 1997 in Lima's Jockey Plaza. They gave customers at this time a completely new and unique shopping experience by implementing a modern décor and offering a wide range of imported products including brands known all over the world.

Over the last years Ripley expanded heavily in Lima and Peru. Today you find numerous outlets spread over the capital and the Peruvian provinces. Ripley offers a wide variety of mainly imported branded products like clothes, shoes, perfumes and cosmetics, toys, household appliances, furniture and accessories. Additionally they have their own bank, accommodating their customers with cash and credit cards (Tarjeta Ripley), and an insurance company.
