BVL’s main objective is to facilitate trading of shares that are registered on the stock exchange by providing services, systems and mechanisms to trade in a fair, competitive, orderly, on-going and transparent manner.

The products and services that the Lima Stock Exchange offers are:

  • shares and securities representing share capital
  • foreign securities trading

In addition to the regular market, the BVL offers an Alternative Securities Market. This market targets medium-sized companies that bill up to 350 million soles but sets fewer requirements and obligations for participants. The Alternative Securities Market allows trading with orders that are processed through algorithms and facilitates market making.

The Lima Stock Exchange seeks to expand the structure of the Peruvian financial market by creating strategic companies that originate and form solid economic groups with the participation of new investors in the national market. One of the strategic companies is Datatec.

Datatec provides information services and cutting-edge electronic financial markets through our system for financial markets, SMF Datatec. This system is used by the treasury departments of all banks, AFP, Mutual Funds and other insurance companies.

The Lima Stock Exchange participates in the complete value chain and owns 93.83% of the shares of CAVALI (Central Registry of Securities and Settlements), which is in charge of efficiently managing the registry, clearing, settlement and custody of the securities that are traded on the Peruvian capital markets.

At the Lima Stock Exchange, we are committed to making Peru a point of reference in the region and we are working arduously to establish a solid and attractive capital market that contributes to our country’s growth and future.
