The Ministry of Economy and Finances is an institution of the Peruvian Government in charge of a sustained economic growth, macroeconomic stability and a responsible and transparent fiscal policy

Main goals are:

  • consolidate fiscal balance and sustainability
  • improve the stability of public revenue
  • achieve greater economic openness and harmonization of the market for goods and services
  • increase the coverage and efficiency of the financial and private pension markets
  • reactivate investment aimed at closing gaps in social and productive infrastructure
  • improve the quality of public spending at various levels
  • optimize transparency and accountability in the public sector
  • modernize the institutional management of the Ministry
