Cigarettes After Sex in Lima 2019

Cigarettes After Sex, an ambient pop collective led by songwriter Greg Gonzalez and based out of Brooklyn, New York, gives a concert in Lima for the first time in August 2019.

After the release of their deput EP “I” in 2012, touring the world for nearly 3 years and the release of their first self-titled studio album, Cigarettes After Sex gained a huge fan base around the globe and their videos have millions of visitors on social media.

Their slow and dreamy songs with amazing vocals, fabulous tunes and addictive and memorable melodies fill a void and make them one of the most important bands in the Indie pop scene.

In a feature for Noisey by Vice, Christina Cacouris describes Cigarettes After Sex as "elemental, hazy and romantic, but with a noir edge underneath Gonzalez's androgynous voice" as well as "sweet and sentimental”. The Guardian reviewed their debut album as “hushed and subdued; every song on their eponymous debut album proceeds at more or less the same somnambulant pace, the echoing guitars and softly tapped drums gently supported by washes of ambient synthesizer.”
