The private pension fund administration system (SPP) aims to contribute to the development and strengthening of the social security system in the area of pensions, in order to provide protection at old age, disability and death, and is mainly made up of by the Private Pension Fund Administrators (AFP), which administer the pension funds referred to in chapter II of this Law.

Complementary, the insurance companies that provide the corresponding benefits take part in the SPP, as well as the entities or instances that participate in the operational processes associated with the administration of the pension funds.
