Founded in 1946, the Peruvian Chamber of the Publishing Industry (Camara Peruana del Libro) is a non-profit cultural and trade association that over the last decades has become the institution in Peru representing the publishing sector.

It brings together authors and publishers, publishing universities, book distributors and booksellers, research and documentation centers, organizations and other businesses dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of reading and book clubs.

The Camara del Libro organizes the Lima International Book Fair, the largest and most prestigious yearly publishing and cultural event in Peru, and the Ricardo Palma Book Fair, the oldest and most traditional anual literary event in Peru.
