This remarkable Colonial mansion was built in the 18th century by the Larriva family. Typical for Lima and the time the house was built, are the two balconies and the large front door which grants you access to the amazing inner patio. The doors, windows, magnificent bars and the Andalusian style gallery are still the original ones.
The interior ambience stands out for its viceregal ceiling in the second salon and the elegant furniture donated mostly by distinguished families in Lima. As many of the houses of this epoch the Casa Larriva was damaged by the severe earthquake of 1746. Additionally a fire in 1780 destroyed the house even more, so that a restoration was inevitable. Today this impressive mansion is the headquarters of the Cultural Association "Entre Nous". It can be visited with prior appointment!
