We really don't like the word "Blog" but we have to admit that the Editors Corner is the LimaEasy Blog. Things change, new content gets published, an article doesn't seem to fit into any of our categories or we as the editors of LimaEasy would like to air our opinions (and you are welcome to comment on them) - This is the place you'll find all that...

75° Festival de la Vendimia de Surco
It's Grape Harvest week in Lima's district of Surco; a time to celebrate customs, traditions and the cultural heritage of the old wine district.
The 75th Festival de la Vendimia de Surco started this year for the first time already on the Sunday before the main festivities with a great parade introducing the wine queen candidates to the public. The festival itself takes place from the 23rd to the 26th of May (11.00 am to 11 pm) at the Plaza de Armas of Surco. The four day celebrations include numerous activities around wine like presentations on the traditional way of wine making, an exhibition of established wineries in Surco, the election of the wine queen and a great music program.
Additionally 41 restaurants and food sellers participate in a gastronomic fair offering the best dishes of Surco like Huatía Surcana or Sulcana (a flavorful beef stew traditional to Surco), Sopa Seca Surcana (a special chicken soup), Desayuno Surcano (Surco breakfast including chicharron, fried camote, tamales), Anticuchos and Snacks.
