We really don't like the word "Blog" but we have to admit that the Editors Corner is the LimaEasy Blog. Things change, new content gets published, an article doesn't seem to fit into any of our categories or we as the editors of LimaEasy would like to air our opinions (and you are welcome to comment on them) - This is the place you'll find all that...

Feria Arte Nativa de la Selva su Arte 2013
While wandering around Lima's district of Barranco today, I stumbled upon an amazing art fair at the Municipal Park. The Feria Arte Nativa de la Selva su Arte showcases handmade, indigenous and native handicrafts and artworks from the Peruvian jungle.
The artisans come from the regions of Ucayali, Loreto, Pasco, Cusco, Amazon, Junin and Huanuco representing numerous Peruvian ethnic groups like the Ashaninka, Awajun, Bora, Cocama cocamilla, Mestizos, Shipibo Konibo, Shipibo, Yanesha, Matsigenka, Yagua and Aguaruna.
The fair in Barranco, Lima allows the artisans to preserve and promote their cultural heritage and bring their unique artwork to a larger audience while at the same time generate some much needed income. Products sold include typical, but traditional handicrafts and artwork including basketry, carved wooden pieces, textiles, ceramics and indigenous decorations.
If you don't want to miss this great fair, hurry up. It already ends on Sunday 26th of May.
