Lima has a wide network of pharmacies and when needed you will find a ‘botica’ or ‘farmacia’ literally around every corner. The bigger pharmacies are generally well sorted and offer quite a wide variety of medicine and drugstore articles. Many drugs that are anywhere else only available with a prescription can just be bought over the counter, mainly at reasonable prices. One big advantage of some pharmacies in Lima is the 24 hours delivery service. The larger chains like Botica Fasa, BTL, Botica Inka Farma and many others offer this service (just order by phone and a motorbike courier will deliver pretty fast).

As you will find a pharmacy nearly everywhere while strolling through town, we won’t bother you with a several pages long listing of every single pharmacy. To keep things simple, below only the names and phone numbers of the bigger pharmacies that offer deliveries. There are many more equally good pharmacies around.

If you need special medication or one specific drug we would highly recommend taking it with you! At least enough until you find the suitable one here – Consult your doctor for possible substitutes in advance.
