Editora Peru, the publishing company of the official Peruvian daily “El Peruano”, inaugurated the Graphic Museum El Peruano in 1999 in their head office in Lima. The museum shows the nearly 200 years spanning history of the oldest Peruvian newspaper, founded by Simon Bolivar in 1825. On display are, among many other interesting things, different printing machines, type and letter cases, the first edition of “El Peruano” including the pressure plate, many old pictures and of course newspapers.
