Peruvian Postal Services
The national Peruvian postal service 'Serpost' is much better than its reputation. Sending mail within Lima and from Lima to the rest of the world is quite reliable, even if exceptions confirm the rule. Outside Lima the postal service is unfortunately less reliable. Prices for sending postcards, letters and parcel are acceptable. Casa de Correos y Telegrafos in Lima - The Lima Main Post Office

![]() The big courier services also have offices in Lima. The shipment of letters and parcel from Lima to any other country in the world is easy and trouble free, but rather expensive. A document to Europe or the US takes around four working days. We heard from different sources of problems with custom and high, unjustified fees from the various courier services when receiving mail. We actually never had any trouble when getting a delivery and therefore just want to point out that there might be the possibility of additional fees and delays especially when receiving parcels.
