Major "Re-modeling" of the Districts Main Promenade

The Municipality of Miraflores will start this Wednesday 29th of May improvement works on the Larco Avenue from block 1 to 13. This avenue is one of the main arteries of the touristic part of Miraflores and the "Re-modeling" will cause serious inconveniences for motorist and visitors of the district. Also pedestrians will have difficulties transiting from the central part of Miraflores (Kennedy Park) to the Larcomar Commercial Center.

Peru celebrates the Potato on May 30

On the 30th of May Peru pays homage to the potato. Originating and consumed for thousands of years in the Andean highlands, the potato became one of the most important food crops in the world after the Spaniards conquered the Americas nearly 500 years ago and brought it back with them to Europe.

The National Potato Day with numerous activities and celebrations is intended to promote the immense diversity of the potato, increase its consumption and at the same time offer small producers, which primarily grow the tuber in Peru a platform to introduce the wide variety and usage of the potato to consumers.
