LimaEasy's Editors Corner

We really don't like the word "Blog" but we have to admit that the Editors Corner is the LimaEasy Blog. Things change, new content gets published, an article doesn't seem to fit into any of our categories or we as the editors of LimaEasy would like to air our opinions (and you are welcome to comment on them) - This is the place you'll find all that...

Enjoy Typical Peruvian Food in Surco this Weekend

The public holiday in honor of Santa Rosa, patroness of Lima, Peru, the Americas and the Philippines, tomorrow grants Peruvians a long weekend. While many will get out of town escaping the grey sky and humidity, those staying in Lima or visiting should enjoy the free days and pamper themselves. What better way to do this than with good Peruvian food and music?

From today 29th of August until Sunday 1st of September 2013 (11.00 am to around 11.00 pm) the Municipality of Surco organizes the Gastronomic Festival "Con Sabor a Surco" that is just the right place to have a good time. Around the main plaza (Plaza de Armas) in Surco 52 of the best restaurants, pastry shops and wineries of the district offer typical food, sweets and Pisco from Surco and whole Peru. Prices are economic, between S/. 6 to S/. 12 per dish; so go for it and indulge.

The 3 day Gastronomic Festival includes as well a food contest, live cooking classes (each day at around 01.00 pm), live music (a good mixture of cumbia, salsa, nueva ola, criollos), Peruvian dance shows and activities for the little ones.

Enjoy your time!
